IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, larger creeks, and other low-lying and flood- prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded.

1/30/2022, 12:25PM – The snow emergency for Athens County has been canceled. Please drive carefully some hazardous road conditions may still exist in remote areas of the county.
1/28/2022, 4:35 AM – Athens County is under a LEVEL 2 SNOW EMERGENCY. Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be very icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roads. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work. Motorists should use extreme caution!
