Nelsonville City Council appoints Scott Fitch as the interim Police Chief at 06/27/2020 special meeting

The City of Nelsonville welcomes Scott Fitch as the interim Police Chief for Nelsonville. City council held a special meeting on Monday, June 27, 2019 to discuss Fitch’s appointment in executive session. When Council returned to regular session the voted to appoint Fitch as the interim Police Chief until a permanent Police Chief can be appointed.  Fitch was sworn in at the meeting by City Council President, Tony Dunfee before City Council adjourned the special meeting.

The City of Nelsonville, Ohio City Council held a special virtual regular meeting Monday, June 29, 2020 at 7PM. The purpose of the meeting was to appoint an Interim Chief of Police in Open Session and an Executive Session for Personnel, and to discuss the open city council seats. Nelsonville water outage and boil order for customers East of Burr Oak Blvd and SR691, Kimberly Rd, Hocking College

The Nelsonville Water Department is working on a major water line break which is causing a water outage to all customers East of Burr Oak Boulevard including State Route 691, Kimberly Road and Hocking College. When the water line is repaired, and service restored a boil order will be in effect for the same are mentioned before.

The Boil Order has been issued due to a water main break. When a boil order is in effect, we ask those affected to boil their drinking and cooking water for three minutes before being consumed.

This Boil Order is in effect until further notice, unless notified otherwise.

Nelsonville boil order Fort, Short, Kontner, Mill, Clinton, College, Fairview, Verity, Pleasantview until further notice

The Nelsonville Water Department has issued a boil order for Fort Street, Short Street, Kontner Street, Mill Street, Clinton Street, College Street, Fairview Street, Verity Street, and Pleasantview Avenue.

The Boil Order has been issued due to a water main break. When a boil order is in effect, we ask those affected to boil their drinking and cooking water for three minutes before being consumed.

Nelsonville Mill St closed, Kontner St to Poling Ave, Mon, 6/29/2020 to Thu, 7/2/2020, 7AM to 6PM, use alternate route

The City of Nelsonville announces that Mill Street will be closed from Kontner Street to Poling Avenue, Monday, June 29, 2020 through Thursday, July 2, 2020.  The roadway will be closed each day from 7:00AM until 6:00PM.  The roadway is being closed for an R&R Pipeline gas line repair project, weather permitting.  Please use an alternate route.
