The City of Nelsonville announces that Chestnut Street from Grosvenor Street to Destiguer Street will be closed to traffic weekdays from Tuesday, June 7, 2022, until Tuesday, June 14, 2022, between the hours of 8:00AM and 6:00PM. The roadway is being closed as part of the natural gas line replacement project. Please avoid this area and use an alternate route.

Nelsonville to dedicate baseball field as Hope Woodson Field on Sun, 6/5/22, at 12PM
The City of Nelsonville will dedicate baseball field #2 at Nelsonville City Park as Hope Woodson Field on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at 12:00pm.
The field is being named in the honor of Mr. Hope Woodson for his dedication to Nelsonville youth athletics. Community Members are invited to attend this ceremony honoring Mr. Woodson.

Nelsonville Aquatics Center update!
Last year we found a leak in the pool when it lost 2 million gallons of water. The cause of the leak was large cracks and a sink hole creating a serious safety hazard, so the 2021 season had to close early. The City of Nelsonville is happy to report, that the repairs to the pool are complete and if everything sits through the weekend without leaking, the Nelsonville Aquatics Center the 2022 season. We want to thank the Nelsonville Utility Department and Nelsonville Aquatics Center staff for making it happen! The pool will open Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 12:00 PM.
