Nelsonville Mill St closed Wed, 7/21/21 at 8AM for 3 weeks, access to residents only, avoid area and use alternate route

The City of Nelsonville announces that Mill Street will be closed to traffic on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 8:00AM and remain closed for approximately (3) three weeks. Access will be made available to the residents of the street. The roadway is being closed so that crews can replace water lines along the street. Please avoid this area and use an alternate route.

Nelsonville boil order for Mill, Kontner, Poling, Short, Fort – W Washington to Clinton, until further notice

The Nelsonville Water Department has issued a boil order for Mill Street, Kontner Street, Poling Avenue, Short Street and Fort Street from West Washington Street to Clinton Street. The reason for this Boil Order was to repair a leak on the mainline.

When a boil order is in effect, we ask those affected to boil their drinking and cooking water for three minutes before being consumed.

This Boil Order is in effect until further notice, unless notified otherwise.

The City of Nelsonville announces that the intersection of Mill Street and Kotner Street will be closed to traffic on Thursday, July 15, 2021 and Friday, July 16, 2021 between the hours of 8:00AM and 3:30PM each day. The roadway is being closed so that City crews can replace utilities in the intersection. Please avoid this area and use an alternate route.

The Nelsonville City Council held a special Council meeting on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 6:30 PM. The purpose of the meeting is to interview potential City attorneys. The interviews will take place during an executive session. City Council may potentially hire a City attorney following the executive session.
