The City of Nelsonville Water Department has canceled the boil order for Burr Oak Boulevard from Crihfield Drive to Buchtel, Blair Court, Runyan Drive, Sylvania Avenue, Carbon Hill Buchtel Road from Bessemer Road to Sandy Lane, Sandy Lane, Bessemer Road, Conner Road and The Village of Buchtel.

The City of Nelsonville Police and Fire Committee will hold a virtual meeting on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 6:00PM. The meeting is being held to discuss the city’s shopping cart ordinance with area businesses. The public may not attend the meeting in person. The Nelsonville City Planning Commission will hold a will hold a virtual meeting on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 6:00PM. The meeting is being held to discuss a split lot division on Lake Hope Drive and Woodlane Drive. The public may not attend the meeting in person. The Nelsonville Water Department is currently working on a water main break on Burr Oak Boulevard. The water service will be off for the following areas until water service is restored and once water service is restored the following areas will be under a boil order. Burr Oak Boulevard from Crihfield Drive to Buchtel, Blair Court, Runyan Drive, Sylvania Avenue, Carbon Hill Buchtel Road from Bessemer Road to Sandy Lane, Sandy Lane, Bessemer Road, Conner Road and The Village of Buchtel.
When a boil order is in effect, we ask those affected to boil their drinking and cooking water for three minutes before being consumed.
This Boil Order is in effect until further notice, unless notified otherwise.

CORRECTION
The City of Nelsonville announces that traffic diversions will begin on East Canal Street at the Chestnut Street South “Y”, Wednesday, April 22, 2020. On Thursday, April 23, 2020 East Canal Street at the Chestnut Street South “Y” will be closed to traffic until Friday, May 22, 2020. This construction is to install new sanitary sewer lines for the new wastewater treatment plant on Elm Rock Road. Access to all businesses East of Burr Oak Boulevard will remain accessible.
Please use an alternate route when possible and be patient when travelling though the designated work zone.
