The City of Nelsonville announces that the intersection of East Canal Street and Monroe Street will be closed to traffic 7:00 AM, Tuesday, February 28, 2023, through 5:00PM, Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Road closed signs will be placed at the Rocky Boots Way traffic light and West of McDonalds on Canal Street. Additionally, there will be a detour for through traffic with signs taking traffic on State Route 691 to Hocking Parkway to keep tractor trailers and other larger trucks off the residential streets. The roadway is being closed so that crews can install a new sanitary sewer line. Please avoid this area and use an alternate route.
