The City of Nelsonville announces that the Historic Public Square will be closed to traffic on Friday, August 29, 2014, for this month’s “Dog Days of Summer”, Final Friday Event beginning at 12:00 NOON and will re-open at 9:30 PM Friday night. The public is encouraged to drive safely while traveling through the downtown area.
The Nelsonville Street Department announces that Madison Street between W. Franklin Street and Cross Street will be closed to traffic on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, from 7:00AM to 5:00PM for a storm sewer repair.

The Historic Public Square, West Columbus Street from September Street to Rocky Boots Way and West Washington Street from September Street to Fort Street. All streets will reopen to traffic at 12:00AM on Sunday, August 17, 2014.
The City of Nelsonville Police department has reopened Madison Street, (State Route 78) between Cross Street and West Franklin Street to normal traffic. The suspected illegal methamphetamine lab at 230 Madison Street has been neutralized and the hazard has been removed. The City would like to thank local residents for their patience and understanding during this hazardous event.
