The Nelsonville Street Department announces the following streets will be closed to traffic beginning Sunday, August 10, 2014, at 12:00 Noon for set up of The Parade of the Hills Festival. The Historic Public Square, West Columbus Street from September Street to Rocky Boots Way and West Washington Street from September Street to Fort Street. All streets will reopen to traffic at 12:00AM on Sunday, August 17, 2014.
The City of Nelsonville Police department has reopened Madison Street, (State Route 78) between Cross Street and West Franklin Street to normal traffic. The suspected illegal methamphetamine lab at 230 Madison Street has been neutralized and the hazard has been removed. The City would like to thank local residents for their patience and understanding during this hazardous event.
