Athens Co Rd 1A, Happy Hollow Rd CLOSED, Buchtel limits to Pancake Rd Wed, 3/23 to Fri, 3/25, 8AM to 2:30PM avoid area
The Athens County Engineer’s Office will be closing County Road 1A, Happy Hollow Road, from the Buchtel Village limits to Township Road 569, Pancake Road in York Township Wednesday, March 23rd through Friday, March 25th. The roadway will be closed from 8 AM until 2:30 PM each day for multiple culvert replacements. Please avoid this area during these times.
Athens Co Rd 4, Glen Ebon Rd CLOSED due to high flood water, turn around, don’t drown!
The Athens County Engineer’s Office closed County Road 4, Glen Ebon Road in York Township due to high flood water. The roadway will be reopened once the flood waters recede. Do not drive into flood waters, remember, turn around, don’t drown!

- Fayette Street from Rocky Boot Way to Valkinburg Alley
These streets are being closed for the 19th Annual Ohio Smoked Meat and BBQ Festival being held in Nelsonville this weekend. Please watch for increased pedestrian traffic and use alternate routes to avoid the area.
