The Nelsonville Water Department has issued a boil order for all customers on Poplar Street from Hopkins Street to Rhine Street, until 8:00AM, Monday, July 22, 2024. This boil order is necessary due to a water line leak repair.

When a boil order is in effect, we ask all who are affected to boil their cooking and drinking water for three (3) minutes before being consumed.

WHEN… Monday, July 15, 2024, from 2:00 PM, until 8:00 PM.

IMPACTS…Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.

Nelsonville Madison St single lane traffic, W Washington St north to city limits, Mon, 7/15 until Fri, 7/19/24, 8AM to 4PM daily, avoid area, use alternate route

The City of Nelsonville announces that AEP Ohio is planning an electrical service pole replacement project on Madison Street from West Washington Street north to the city limits. Work will begin on Monday, July 15, 2024, and last until all work is completed. The work will result in single lane closures and total road closures.

Madison Street will have single lane traffic on Monday, July 15, 2024, until Friday, July 19, 2024. Work will take place from 8:00AM until 4:00PM daily. Please avoid this area and use an alternate route.

Nelsonville Fort St, Washington St to Scott St no on street parking 8AM to 5PM, Mon, 7/8/24, for asphalt paving, avoid area, use alternate route

The City of Nelsonville announces that the asphalt paving on Fort Street will be extended to Monday, July 8, 2024, due to incoming bad weather. Fort Street, from Washington Street to Scott Street will have no on street parking from 8:00AM until 5:00PM, Monday, July 8, 2024. The parking ban is in effect so that crews can perform asphalt paving to the road surface. Expect delays, please avoid this area and use an alternate route.
