Athens Co LEVEL 2 SNOW EMERGENCY, roads hazardous, travel only if needed, use extreme caution!

1/31/2021, 12:20AM – Athens County is under a LEVEL 2 SNOW EMERGENCY.  Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be very icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roads. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work. Motorists should use extreme caution!

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR ATHENS CO FROM 7PM SAT, 1/30/21 TO 10AM SUN, 1/31/21, SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for Athens County in effect from 7PM Saturday, 1/30/21 until 10AM Sunday, 1/31/21.

  • WHAT – Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches.
  • WHERE – Perry, Morgan, Athens and Washington Counties.
  • WHEN – From 7 PM this evening to 10 AM Sunday.
  • IMPACTS – Plan on slippery road conditions. Periods of reduced visibility may occur while snow is falling.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS – Slow down and use caution while traveling.

Nelsonville water bill calculation error for customers in the City limits, new bill will be issued as soon as possible

The City of Nelsonville is aware that there was a calculation error made on our customers Water/Sewer billing for February. The customers impacted are only those who reside within city limits. If you live in city limits your new bill will be issued as soon as possible.
