The Nelsonville Aquatics Center is taking bids on a full liner overhaul and repair.  Identify and replace up to 100 sq ft of existing delaminated plaster Remove existing caulking joints and chips plaster 2” around each.  Install 2×2 white non-skid tile on each side of the joint and install elastomeric caulking into the joint. Repair leak at light.  Prep existing surface and apply bonding agent to the pool shell. Have a SGM Certified Diamond Brite installer apply commercial grade blue quartz to the pool shell.  Expose new plaster finish. Work must be complete by May 12, 2023. The bid opening will be March 3, 2023, at Noon at 211 Lake Hope Dr Nelsonville Ohio 45764.

The City of Nelsonville is seeking applications for the City’s Dog Park Board. To be considered for the Board, the applicant must be an elector of the City of Nelsonville. The Dog Park Board shall consist of five (5) members serving overlapping terms of five (5) years each.

It shall be the function and duty of this Dog Park Board to recommend a program to Council for the operation of public dog parks, and the acquisition, improvement, construction and maintenance of the dog parks, and any other services related thereto. The Board’s functions and duties shall be advisory only.

Nelsonville City Council accepting letters of interest for open City Council positions

The City of Nelsonville is seeking people interested in filling two (2) open positions of City Council member as soon as possible. To be considered for the City Council, the applicants must be a qualified elector who has been continuously a resident and a qualified elector of the City of one (1) year next prior to their election, and who is not the occupant of an incompatible office, shall be eligible to serve as a member of City Council. Each member of Council shall continue to be a resident and qualified elector of the City throughout their term of office, failing which Council shall remove them from office.
