Nelsonville water outage W Washington St from Adams St to Pine Grove Dr, 3/30/21, 9AM to 5PM, and boil order until further notice

The Nelsonville Water Department will be turning off water service on West Washington Street between Adams Street and Pine Grove Drive today March 30, 2021, between 9AM to 5PM due to a water valve replacement. Once water is restored a boil order will be issued until further notice.

Boil Orders are issued due to a repair or a leak on the mainline. When a boil order is in effect, we ask those affected to boil their drinking and cooking water for three minutes before being consumed.

This Boil Order is in effect until further notice, unless notified otherwise.

The meeting was held to discuss camping in the City, and all-terrain vehicle, (ATV) zones in the City. Rumpke Waste and Recycling residential carts and bins removal on customers normal service day, commercial dumpsters 4/1, 4/2, 4/3

The City of Nelsonville announces that Rumpke Waste and Recycling will remove the Brown 95-gallon carts, Green 65-gallon carts, and Red 18-gallon recycling bins used for residential service on the day the customers trash and/or recycling is serviced. Commercial dumpsters will be removed Thursday, 4/1, Friday, 4/2, and Saturday, 4/3. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

AEP Ohio planned power outage Nelsonville area, Tue, 3/30/2021, 5AM to 5:05AM

AEP Ohio has announced a planned power outage on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021 from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 5:05 a.m. This outage will allow crews to safely make upgrades to the electric grid. Affected areas include State Route 691, Hocking Parkway, Northern part of Nelsonville, State Route 278 North of Nelsonville, Haydenville, and Union Furnace. In the event of bad weather, the outage will be rescheduled for Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 5:00 a.m. to 5:05 a.m. If you are a landlord and are responsible for your tenants’ power, please be sure to tell them about the outage so they can plan accordingly.
