Nelsonville Code Enforcement teams up with Helping Hands of Southeast Ohio to assist seniors and disabled in Nelsonville

The Nelsonville Code Enforcement Office is teaming up Helping Hands of Southeast Ohio to address a gap in non-profit services for seniors in Nelsonville for exterior maintenance and minor home repairs. Both agencies are working together to help mitigate some code violations in Nelsonville.

Helping Hands was founded in 2024 when they identified a gap in non-profit services in our area for exterior maintenance and minor home repairs. The reality is that many seniors and people with disabilities don’t have a support system, or the financial or physical means to be able to maintain their homes appropriately.

Helping Hands hires quality and reliable contractors to perform the work while a team comprised of community leaders serve on the Board of Directors to guide the growth of the organization.

The Nelsonville Code Enforcement Office and Helping Hands of Southeast Ohio have coordinated to provide three senior homeowners with the resources for snow removal. The Nelsonville Code Enforcement Office would like senior homeowners to know there are resources available to help with simple home maintenance.

Persons interested in the programs available from Helping Hands of Southeast Ohio can visit their website at https://www.helpinghandsseo.com or call their office at 740-907-8585.
