Nelsonville announces that The Parade of The Hills Festival street closures begin Sun, 8/11/24, at 12PM and remain closed until Mon, 8/19/24, at 7:30 AM, avoid area, use alternate route

The City of Nelsonville announces that The Parade of The Hills Festival street closures and NO PARKING will begin on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 12:00 PM and remain closed through Monday, August 19, 2024, at 7:30 AM. The full street closures with NO limited access are due to pedestrian safety concerns from prior years.

The following streets will be closed to all traffic:

  • West Washington Street from Post Office to Fort Street
  • West Columbus Street from Library to 45 East Columbus Street
  • Rocky Boot Way from Public Square to alley by the Elks
  • Public Square

Please expect vendor, carnival rides and pedestrian traffic throughout the area. Please use caution in the area during the festival and please consider using an alternate route.

Nelsonville boil order, Harper St – High St to dead end, Ashton Ave, until 3PM, Sat, 8/10/24, boil drinking water 3 minutes before consuming

The Nelsonville Water Department has issued a boil order for Harper Street from High Street to the dead End and Ashton Avenue until 3:00PM, Saturday August 10, 2024. This boil order is necessary due to a water line break repair.

When a boil order is in effect, we ask all who are affected to boil their cooking and drinking water for three (3) minutes before being consumed.
