The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Northern Athens County until 445 PM.
At 358 PM, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Logan to near Nelsonville to near McArthur, moving northeast at 50 mph.
Locations impacted include Athens, Nelsonville, Glouster, Chauncey, Buchtel, Stockport, Jacksonville, Trimble.

The City of Nelsonville announces that Riverside Drive will be reduced to one lane of traffic on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, while engineers are drilling on the roadway. Nelsonville Police will be directing traffic throughout the day.
Please use caution when traveling on Riverside Drive, or use an alternate route.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Western Athens County until 1100 PM.
At 1009 PM, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Circleville to 9 miles southeast of Kingston to 8 miles southeast of Chillicothe, moving east at 40 mph.
Locations impacted include Athens, Nelsonville, Glouster, Albany, Shawnee, Chauncey, Buchtel, Jacksonville, Trimble, and ThePlains.

The City of Nelsonville announces that Dorr Run Road will be closed North of Lengyel Lane on Monday, June 17, 2019 through Wednesday, June 19, 2019. The roadway is being closed for culvert and storm drain repairs and replacement. The City of Nelsonville apologizes for any inconvenience the repairs may cause.
Please use caution when traveling in Dorr Run Road area or use an alternate route.

The City of Nelsonville Utility Committee will hold a meeting on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 7:00PM in council chambers at City Hall. The meeting is being held to discuss water meter upgrades and seasonal employment.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

The City of Nelsonville Water Department has canceled the boil advisory for Jackson Street from Watkins Street to Desteiguer Street, Watkins Street from Jackson Street to Patton Street, and all of Patton Street. We would like to thank those affected by this incident for their patience and understanding.

The Nelsonville Recreation Committee will hold a meeting on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 6:30PM in council chambers at City Hall. The meeting is being held to discuss Polley Park and NatureWorks grants.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

The City of Nelsonville Water Department has issued a boil advisory for Jackson Street from Watkins Street to Desteiguer Street, Watkins Street from Jackson Street to Patton Street, and all of Patton Street. The boil advisory is being issued due to a leak repair on the main water line. The boil advisory will be in effect until Friday, June 14, 2019 at 4:00PM, unless notified otherwise.
When a boil advisory is in effect, we ask all who are affected to boil their cooking and drinking water for three minutes before being consumed.
