Nelsonville Mayors Court scheduled for 11/11/20, 6PM, defendant, legal representative, witnesses only, face covering required

The City of Nelsonville Mayors Court is scheduled for Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at 6:00 pm.

In order to protect the health of employees, customers, and their families; efforts to control the spread of the virus the Court asked that the defendant, his or her legal representation and witnesses only enter the building or attend the hearing, social distancing guidelines and wearing mask will be required to enter the building. 

Please notify the Mayors Court Clerk, Nancy Bumgardner, at 740-753-5692 in advance if you will have witnesses or any questions.

Nelsonville water outage/ boil order, Village of Buchtel, Burr Oak BLVD US33 overpass to Buchtel, Woodlane DR, Sylvania AVE, Bessemer RD, Carbon Hill Buchtel RD Bessemer RD to Sandy LN, Sandy LN

The Nelsonville Water Department is working on an eight inch Sylvania Avenue which is causing a water outage to the following areas; The Village of Buchtel, Burr Oak Boulevard from US33 overpass to Buchtel, Woodlane Drive, Sylvania Avenue, Bessemer Road, Carbon Hill Buchtel Road from Bessemer Road to Sandy Lane, and Sandy Lane. Once the waterline is repaired and service restored a boil order will be in effect for the same area until further notice.

The Boil Order has been issued due to a repair for a leak on the mainline. When a boil order is in effect, we ask those affected to boil their drinking and cooking water for three minutes before being consumed.

This Boil Order is in effect until further notice, unless notified otherwise.

Nelsonville boil advisory for Pine Grove DR until Thu, 11/5/2020 at 3PM, unless notified otherwise

The City of Nelsonville Water Department has issued a boil advisory for all Pine Grove Drive customers. The boil advisory is being issued due to a repair to a leak on the mainline for the area. The boil advisory will be in effect until Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 3:00PM, unless notified otherwise.

When a boil advisory is in effect, we ask all who are affected to boil their cooking and drinking water for three minutes before being consumed.

The City of Nelsonville Street Department will start curbside leaf pick-up on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, and continue every Tuesday and Thursday in November. All leaves must be raked into a pile at the curb but not in the street for pick-up. City crews will not be raking any leaves. Leaf pick-up will depend on the weather conditions for the month of November. To schedule leaf pick-up use Nelsonville’s “TextMyGov, all you have to do is text “Hi” to 740-265-3858 to get started, and a series of texts will guide you through the reporting process, or call, 740-753-1314, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Nelsonville City Planning Commission virtual meeting Tue, 11/10/20, 6PM, FB, City of Nelsonville, Ohio, @nelsonvillecity

The Nelsonville City Planning Commission will hold a will hold a virtual meeting on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 6:00PM. The meeting is being held to discuss City permit fees.  The public may not attend the meeting in person. Due to social distancing recommendations on preventing the spread of the COVID-19, Nelsonville City Council will be meeting in regular session Monday, November 9, 2020 at 7PM via a virtual meeting. The public may not attend the meeting in person. The meeting will be live streamed from the City of Nelsonville Facebook Page, (City of Nelsonville, Ohio, @nelsonvillecity). Citizens comments and business and organizational comments may be made online. The public is invited and encouraged to attend virtually online.
