The City of Nelsonville is seeking applications for the City’s Board of Zoning Appeals. To be considered for the Board, the applicant must be an elector of the City of Nelsonville. The Board of Zoning Appeals shall consist of five (5) members serving overlapping terms of five (5) years each.
The Board of Zoning Appeals shall hear and determine applications for variances from the provisions of any zoning ordinances and resolutions, in harmony with the intent and purposes of any zoning ordinances and resolutions and in accordance with procedures provided by the Nelsonville City Charter. The Board of Zoning Appeals shall also hear and determine appeals from any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the administrative department or administrative officer who is in charge of the enforcement and application of any zoning ordinances and resolutions. The Board shall have such other powers and perform such other duties and functions as provided by ordinance or resolution.
