The Nelsonville Street Committee will hold a meeting on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 7:00PM in council chambers at City Hall.  The meeting is being held to discuss the impact of the upcoming winter weather on the streets, (trucks, driver, salt, potholes, etc.). The City of Nelsonville Finance Committee will hold a meeting on Monday, November 26, 2018 following the regular City Council meeting in council chambers at City Hall.  The meeting is being held to discuss;

The Nelsonville City Council will be holding its December Regular Council Meetings on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 7:00PM and Monday, December 10, 2018 at 7:00PM. There will be no meeting on Monday, December 24, 2018. The changes are being made due to the Holiday Season. The public is invited to attend.

The City of Nelsonville is accepting applications for the position of Council Clerk.  The Clerk will be expected to;

1. Attend regular and special City Council meetings
2. Prepare the City Council meeting minutes
3. Prepare the City Council meeting agenda
4. Record the ordinances and resolutions
5. Perform other duties as assigned

The City of Nelsonville is accepting letters of interest for a vacant City Council position. The new Councilmember will fill the position vacated by Dereck Bowens and serve until November 30, 2019. The deadline for submitting letters of interest is November 12, 2018. The Nelsonville City Council will hold a special Council meeting on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers at City Hall.

The purpose of this meeting is to:

1. discuss the appointment of a new council member to fill the vacancy of City Council.
2. appoint a temporary City Council Clerk to fill the vacancy until a permanent appointment can be made.
