The Nelsonville City Council will hold a special meeting on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 7:30 PM, at City Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to inform Council and the public regarding the charter initiative measure appearing on the November 5, 2024, ballot and to provide a limited public forum for public discussion and provide Council an opportunity to discuss.

Any member of the public wishing to make public comment shall email Council Clerk at councilclerk@cityofnelsonville.com no later than 11:30 a.m. on Monday, October 7, 2024 to ensure sufficient time is allocated for public comment and facilitate public comment. If a person does not notify Council Clerk by the time specified above, there may not be time for such person to make public comment.

Agenda:

  1. Call the meeting to order.
  2. Pledge of Allegiance.
  3. Prayer.
  4. Roll call.
  5. Brief summary of ground rules for public participation and Council discussion (City Attorney to present at the instruction of Council).
  6. Public comment (3 minutes per person)
  7. Reports of the City Attorney and the City Auditor.
  8. Council discussion (5 minutes per Member).
  9. Adjourn meeting.
