The City of Nelsonville Water Department has issued a boil order for the entire City and the Village of Buchtel and York Township water customers until further notice. Nelsonville Water Department crews will be flushing fire hydrants beginning tonight, January 13, 2017 thru Sunday, January 15, 2017. Areas that are serviced by the Nelsonville water system may experience discolored water. If you experience discolored water, allow water to run until it clears. Boil orders are put into place as a result of broken water lines or local flooding. When this happens, the drinking water may have been contaminated which can cause many illnesses.
