The Nelsonville Water Department has issued a boil order for the following areas in the Village of Buchtel due to a water line repair, State Route 78 from Marietta Avenue to the Buchtel Village Limits (Cats Curve), North and South Oakley Drive, Duncan Drive and State Route 685. The boil order will be in effect for these areas until 3:00 PM Friday, June 6, 2025.
When a boil order is in effect, we ask all who are affected to boil their cooking and drinking water for three (3) minutes before being consumed.
The Nelsonville Water Department is currently working on a water main leak in the Village of Buchtel near the intersection of State Route 78 and State Route 685. Buchtel water customers may experience low to no water pressure until crews are able to complete repairs. When repairs are completed and water service is restored, there may be a boil order for the Village of Buchtel.
