The City of Nelsonville Planning and Development Committee will hold a virtual meeting on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 6:30PM. The meeting is being held to discuss camping in the City, all-terrain vehicle, (ATV) zones in the City, and transient guest tax, (lodging tax).

Nelsonville water line break causes low water pressure & boil order due until further notice all Nelsonville and Buchtel

The Nelsonville Water Department is working on an 8-inch water line leak Meyers Street. Water pressures may be affected throughout the entire system. Due to this leak and repair a boil order has been issued for the entire Nelsonville water system and the Village of Buchtel.

When a boil order is in effect, we ask those affected to boil their drinking and cooking water for three minutes before being consumed.

This Boil Order is in effect until further notice, unless notified otherwise.

The purpose of the meeting was to to consider adoption of a resolution appointing attorneys of Reminger Co., L.P.A., as special prosecutor to prosecute the pending removal proceedings, as well as any reviews thereof, of councilmember Gregory Smith. The Nelsonville Water Department has issued a boil order for the following areas. Grover Street from Madison Street to Frederick Street, Frederick Street, Frank Street, Edwards Street, John Street, Williams Street and Madison Street from Grover Street to the City limits.

The Boil Order was issued due to the repair of a leak on the mainline. When a boil order is in effect, we ask those affected to boil their drinking and cooking water for three minutes before being consumed.
