The Nelsonville Dog Park is seeking a few talented food truck vendors to participate in the Nelsonville Dog Swim. The event will take place on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Nelsonville Water Park, 40 West Canal Street in Nelsonville. No-cost participation fees.

Food truck operators interested in participating should contact Dan Pfeiffer at nelsonvilledogpark@gmail.com. All applicants should be prepared to provide information regarding their menu, and food safety certifications.

Nelsonville Scott St closed, Mon, 8/25/2025, 7AM until 5PM, for street asphalt repair, traffic detoured to Pleasantview Ave, avoid area, use alternate route

The City of Nelsonville announces that Scott Street will be closed, Monday, August 25, 2025, from 7:00AM until 5:00PM, for street asphalt repair. Vehicle traffic will be detoured to Pleasantview Avenue and traffic controlled by traffic lights on Fort St and Pleasantview Avenue.

Please avoid this area and use an alternate route.

Nelsonville Hocking PKWY closed to traffic with Loop RD detour on all 2025 Hocking College home football game days, please avoid this area and use an alternative route on game days

The City of Nelsonville announces that Hocking Parkway will be closed to traffic between both ends of Loop Road due to 2025 Hocking College home football games. Loop Road will be used as a detour route for these closures. The road closures will be from 11:00AM until 6:00PM each gameday. The game days are listed below. Please avoid this area and use an alternative route on these dates.

Nelsonville city water park 2025 swim season ending this weekend, Sat, 8/23 and Su, 8/24, final swimming days, open each day 12PM until 6PM

The 2025 swim season is coming to an end at the Nelsonville city water park. Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24, 2025, will be the final swimming days, with the pool being open each day from 12:00PM until 6:00PM. The water park will not be open for the labor day weekend,

Nelsonville Canal St construction resumes Wed, 8/20/2025 until Tue, 9/2/2025, with various single lane closures as needed, road closures will continue after Labor Day

The City of Nelsonville announces that the Canal Street construction project will start again on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Between Wednesday, August 20, 2025, and Tuesday, September 2, 2025, contractors will be working on installing wheelchair ramps and cleaning up completed road sections. During this time various single lane closures will be necessary as work progresses. Stay alert for lane closures on Canal Street. Complete road closures will continue after the Labor Day Holiday. Complete closure information will be released as it becomes available.
