The City of Nelsonville is seeking people interested in filling the position of Interim City Manager. Nelsonville is a community in rural Athens County, Ohio with a population of 5,100, and is seeking people interested in filling the open position of Interim City Manager. The Interim City Manager is the chief executive and administrative officer of the city and is responsible to the City Council for the administration of all City affairs placed in his charge.

The Interim City Manager is a Full-Time position with a salary be negotiated by council based on experience.

The position will be responsible for a range of duties
- Managing day-to-day operations of the City of Nelsonville and it employees and various departments
- Attending meetings of various board and commissions, both internal to the city and within Athens County
- Reporting to Council
- Processing purchase orders from various city departments
- Negotiating contracts on behalf of the city
- Managing a variety of ongoing projects
Interested candidates shall:
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have an understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of software
- Have the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure that a bond of $100,000 (to be paid by the city) is obtained prior to the first start day.
