Nelsonville street sweeping to resume Mon, 5/4. Use alternative parking spot on your designated day.
The City of Nelsonville would like to remind residents that the street sweeping program will resume this week beginning Monday, May 4, 2015. The east side, with Watkins Street being the divider, will be swept on Monday, even house numbers, odd house numbers on Tuesday. Wednesday will be the west section, starting with even house numbers and Thursday will be odd house numbers. Residents are required to use an alternative parking spot on your designated day.

We would like to extend a big thank you to all the firefighters from around the region who worked together on Saturday, April 11th to battle the Nelsonville, Ohio Public Square Fire. Just to let everyone know what the firefighters were up against, many who were volunteers; fire temperatures pushing 2000 degrees, multiple older buildings of brick construction holding heat and fire, the coordination of five different fire departments to hold a fire to the single building, when they could have easily lost most of the block including private homes. Our hats off to the firefighters from;
