The City of Nelsonville Parks and Recreation Committee will hold a meeting on Monday, November 29, 2021, at 6:30PM at City Hall. The meeting is being held to discuss receiving property for a future park.

The City of Nelsonville is extending the sealed bidding period on property located at 126 Jefferson Street Nelsonville, Ohio until Friday, December 3, 2021, at 12:00PM. There will be an open house for the property on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, from 12:00PM until 5:30PM. This property has been deemed unnecessary for public use. The Nelsonville Water Department will be replacing fire hydrants that will shut off water service to Pinegrove Drive and Walnut Street from Second Street to Burr Oak Boulevard on both sides of the street tomorrow, Monday, November 29, 2021, from 9:00AM until the replacement is completed. Once water service is restored a boil order will be in effect for the same area.
When a boil order is in effect, we ask all who are affected to boil their cooking and drinking water for three minutes before being consumed.
The Boil Order will be in effect until further notice, unless notified otherwise.

2021 Nelsonville/ York Christmas Basket applications can now be completed and submitted online. By going to https://tinyurl.com/y3wcpc4v, person can safely complete and submit an application. You can also scan the posted QR code to access the site on a smartphone. Anyone applying IS NOT guaranteed to receive a Christmas Basket. All applicants MUST BE RESIDENTS OF NELSONVILLE OR YORK TOWNSHIP. Applications must be submitted by December 10th. Baskets are scheduled to be delivered on December 18th starting at 08:00 am.
The City of Nelsonville announces that the fall leaf pick up has been suspended for the week of Monday, November 22 through Friday, November 26, 2021, due to staffing issues. If you have leaves that need picked up after November 26 until Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
