City of Nelsonville Code Enforcement Office makes public notice of a building condemnation for the property at 219 Frank Street in Nelsonville, owned by Vaughn E. and Bertha Brobst

Notice of Condemnation

The City of Nelsonville Code Enforcement Office is making a public notice of a building condemnation for 219 Frank Street in Nelsonville.

Property owners Vaughn E. and Bertha Brobst were sent a notice of condemnation by US Mail. The mail was unclaimed and returned to the City of Nelsonville.

Property owners Vaughn E. and Bertha Brobst are hereby notified that in accordance with Nelsonville City Code §91.30, the structure or structures located at 219 Frank Street, Nelsonville, Ohio 45764, the subject property and or by the Athens County Auditor’s Parcel ID#: P030020001200, has been found as a structure that is unsafe, or because of the degree in which it lacks maintenance or is in disrepair; is unsanitary; vermin or rat infested; contains filth and contamination; or lacks ventilation, running water, illumination, sanitary or heating facilities or other essential equipment, or because its location constitutes a hazard to its occupants or to the public.

Therefore, property owners Vaughn E. and Bertha Brobst are notified that within (30) days of this notice, the owner has the right to seek modification or withdrawal of the notice by written petition to Nelsonville City Council.

Re-occupancy of the structure shall only be permitted by written permission of the Nelsonville City Manager.
