The City of Nelsonville has entered into a contract with the City of Athens to grant access to the Athens City Pool at their community rates for Nelsonville residents for the 2026 season. The Athens City Pool has the same rates as Nelsonville for daily passes and splash passes.

The rate difference ONLY applies to season membership passes and Nelsonville will pay the difference of rates for the City of Athens Pool; individual and household season membership passes.
The City of Athens will confirm residency or income tax paying status by Nelsonville patrons providing a current valid driver’s license or paystub show Nelsonville income taxes being paid.
The City of Athens will grant Nelsonville patrons who qualify the Athens City Pool Community Rate for individual and household season membership passes.
The City of Athens Pool community rates for Nelsonville patrons are only available from May 19, 2026, until June 30, 2026.
After June 30th, the community rates for Season Membership passes will cease and return to the general rates, for Nelsonville residents and Nelsonville tax-payer nonresidents.
The Athens City Pool 2026 season opening day is Saturday May 23, 2026.
