The City of Nelsonville announces that, effective May 16, 2026, the Nelsonville Dog Park is open seven days a week from sunrise to sunset.

The Nelsonville Dog Park, located at 1157 Dog Park Lane, has three separate areas for dogs to use, a large dog area, small dog area, and a training area. The park also includes a ¼ mile paved walking path and a shelter house. A downloadable copy of the dog park rules is available at https://tinyurl.com/yz25kh8u. There will be ongoing improvements to the park this summer, increased trash cans, pet waste stations, seating benches, emergency telephone, and security cameras.
