The City of Nelsonville announces that the following City Council Committees will be holding meetings on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at City Hall.

6:00 PM – Utilities Committee

  • Meeting requested by Council Member Lawson for a discussion concerning water bills.

6:20 PM – Parks and Recreation Committee

  • Playground equipment at Nelson Commons Park
  • New & old business

6:50 PM – Planning and Development Committee

  • Updates on zoning city-wide
  • Updates by Code Enforcement on rental registration
  • Vacant property updates

8:00PM – Finance Committee

  • Continued discussion of budget projections for 2026
  • Consider an ordinance to create a separate fund for paying legal expenses other than what’s specified in the City Attorney’s contract
  • Funding request from Majestic Galleries for their Sober Jam
  • Sessions program (pending program directors’ availability)
  • New business
