The City of Nelsonville announces that the following City Council Committees will be holding meetings on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at City Hall.

6:20 PM – Street Committee

  • Stop sign at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Watkins Street.
  • Crosswalk on West Columbus Street for the Hive.
  • Rename street to new dog park “Dog Park Lane”.

6:40 PM – Utilities Committee

  • Meeting requested by Council Member Lawson for a discussion concerning water bills.

7:00 PM – Planning and Development Committee

  • Zoning Amendment presented by the City Code Officer.
  • Consider an application for a marijuana dispensary.
  • Rental registration fee discussion.
  • Discussion concerning parking meters.

8:00PM – Finance Committee

  • Addressing an invoice from GameTime for pool shades.
  • Fire Department appropriation for awarded PEP and RCIF grants.
  • Fire Department appropriation for vehicle maintenance.
  • Reviewing draft budgets for City under charter and statute forms of government.
  • Continued discussion of appropriation to address Police Department salary budget shortfall.
