Nelsonville City Council Committees holding meetings Tue, 9/2/2025, at City Hall starting at 6PM, the public is invited and encouraged to attend

The City of Nelsonville announces that the following City Council Committees will be holding meetings on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at City Hall.

6:00 PM – Utilities Committee

  • Discuss Rumpke tying into sanitary sewer at Scenic Lane.

6:30PM – Planning and Development Committee

  • Public square fountain
  • DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area)

7:15PM – Finance Committee

  • $1,000 appropriation to the Code Enforcement’s operating supplies for fuel.
  • Classifying the secretary position so that they can sign a union card.
  • The committee previously sent to full council the authorization to place nuisance fees against the property tax card, however it did not make it to the agenda somehow. They still need that authorization.
  • Jeff Traugh back pay.
  • Ad Hoc Clerk Pay
  • Mr. Holmes would like to suggest a Clerk for the committees to do minutes. (i.e. $50 per meeting; max of $2,500)
