The City of Nelsonville Finance Committee will hold a meeting on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 5:00 PM at City Hall. The meeting is being held to discuss,

  • Fire Department awarded PEP Grant, awaiting appropriation before ordering intended equipment
  • Appropriation from Economic Development Fund to pay pro-rated 2025 membership fees to become an Affiliate Member of the Athens County Economic Development Council
  • Other departmental appropriation requests
  • Review quotes for obtaining professional services (Treasurer vacancy starting in December)
  • Tracking of other transition costs and creation of line items for accounting
  • Explore stopgap funding mechanisms for transition into 2026
  • Continue discussion of Comprehensive & Economic Development Plan
