The City of Nelsonville is seeking people interested in filling the open position of City Manager. Nelsonville is a community in rural Athens County, Ohio with a population of 5,100, and is seeking people interested in filling the open position of City Manager. The City Manager is the chief executive and administrative officer of the city and is responsible to the City Council for the administration of all City affairs placed in his charge.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration with a master’s degree preferred; and 5 years of progressively responsible public management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Because a high level of personal integrity and professional ethics is essential, a comprehensive background investigation will be conducted.
Compensation: Salary for the position is $52,000.00 / $75,000.00. In addition, Nelsonville offers an excellent fringe benefit package.
