The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 600 PM, Sunday, 4/14/19.

At 537 PM, a severe thunderstorm was located near Athens, moving northeast at 70 mph.

  • HAZARD – 60 mph wind gusts.
  • SOURCE -Radar indicated.
  • IMPACT -Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include Athens, Nelsonville, Glouster, Albany, Chauncey, Buchtel, Jacksonville, Trimble, Amesville, Stroud Run State Park, Burr Oak State Park, and The Plains.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM for southeastern Ohio. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
