The City of Nelsonville is accepting letters of interest and resumes for the position of city treasurer. The position responsibilities are as follows:
- The City Treasurer is a part time non-partisan position making $350 per month and includes OPERS membership and flexible schedule. There are no other benefits offered to the position.
- The charter requires a candidate to be a resident and qualified elector for one (1) year before the election. So effectively, qualified candidates should be a resident/elector before November of 2024.
- The position will be responsible for the City’s treasury management and monthly reconciliations. The Treasurer is required to report to council monthly.
- Qualified candidates must be able to produce a bond for the position. The costs of the bond are paid for by the City
