No Turn On Red

The Nelsonville Police Department would like to make all drivers aware of a traffic pattern change at the intersection of State Route 691 and East Canal Street. Effective immediately, NO RIGHT TURN ON A RED TRAFFIC SIGNAL WILL BE ALLOWED FOR VEHICLES TRAVLEING;

  1. East on East Canal Street turning on to South State Route 691 toward the entrance to Hocking College.
  2. South on State Route 691 turning West on to East Canal Street into Nelsonville.

This change has been made for safety reasons due to difficult visibility at the intersection.
